Welcome to our Curves Queanbeyan Website

Curves has helped millions of women get healthier with our unique fitness solution. In just 30 minutes, you work every major muscle group and burn up to 2000 kilojoules through a proven programme of strength training, cardio, and stretching.

We understand how busy life can be and finding time to exercise can be tough. But with Curves, 30 minutes is all you need!

The Curves circuit is an efficient full body workout - you can join the circuit at any time, from any station and start working out when it suits you (within standard opening hours).

Curves Queanbeyan has many exciting social experiences for our members. At Curves Queanbeyan, we believe we are more than just a gym, we are a women’s support network. We pride ourselves on having approachable members of staff, creating a friendly, warm environment and empowering each other to achieve our goals!

The circuit is made up of hydraulic resistance machines, which are designed to create resistance that increases with effort. As you get stronger, you can push harder and the machines will respond with more resistance making them perfect for women of any fitness level to continually achieve results.

Body Basic Circuits are designed to add variety to the traditional Curves circuit. Workouts include simple movements with multiple levels of difficulty so that every member can enjoy and benefit.

·         Stretch and Strength: Lengthen your muscles and increase your range of motion

·         Balance: Improve your balance, stability and core strength

·         Arms, Legs and Core: Focused sessions that strengthen your major muscle groups

·         NEW Cardio: A heart pumping workout designed to energize and tone muscles in one circuit.

·         Combo: Combine Arms, Legs and Core movements for a total body workout

Dance and Tone:  Dance and Tone incorportes movements from many styles of dance to get your body moving in a rhythmic way in between the strength machines.

*      Box and Tone: Box and Tone is a higher intensity circuit that combines, cardio, strength, coordination, balance. Paired with the curves strenght machines it delivers a total body workout.

Melita Benson

Congratulations to Melita on some awesome results. Melita joined Curves Queanbeyan in January 2015, these are her amazing results and testimonial.

To date: Melita has lost an impressive- 17.07kg, 9.13% body fat, 6.80 BMI and 86.5cm. Great work Mleita. Lara & girls.

After seeing photos of myself at a wedding last year I was forced to take a good hard look at myself and acknowledge that I needed to make some changes. I started with food, changing what I was eating and how much, but I knew that that alone would not help me to reach my goal of a healthy weight. I joined Curves Queanbeyan not quite knowing what to expect – I had been to gyms in the past and found that while I enjoyed the group atmosphere of classes, they could be intimidating and fixed times made it difficult to fit them into my schedule. What I discovered was an environment that suited my lifestyle, fit into my schedule (rather than the other way around) and has been warm and welcoming. Everyone at Curves has been incredibly supportive and encouraging of my progress. I still have a ways to go but am confident that with their assistance I will reach my goal.

I joined curves in March 2014. Not long after this I went back home to Ireland for 10 weeks had an absolute amazing time which involved a lot of drinking and eating!!!!
So when I returned in August, I knew that I put on weight but didn't realise how much. The first thing I did was to get weighed and measured so I couldn't deny it any longer, which was probably the best thing I did. Getting weighed and measured every month keeps me motivated and it's always a new starting point if I have a bad month.
Ruth is there most of the time when I workout and she has been a real inspiration for me. She pushes me along on workouts when I think I can't do any more and of course the boxing classes are something different which I really enjoy and gets the heart rate up!
I feel a lot healthier and fitter these days and although it hasn't been easy it is so worth it. Thanks to Lara, Ruth and all the curves team.

A special Christmas message from Lara

Hello members and friends of Curves Queanbeyan.

Wow!!!! 2016 has been another exciting and fast-paced year.

We've welcomed so many new wonderful members to the club as well as two new workouts, Dance and Tone and Box and Tone. If you haven't tried one of these Body Basic Circuits, make sure you do in 2017 - they're a great way to kick off the new year.

We've also had a couple of new additions to the Curves QBN family. Our wonderful Heidi has joined our crazy team of coaches and we are excited to have her. We also recently welcomed Natalie, our new circuit coach who completed her Certificate 3 in Fitness and is now working hard on Certificate 4. Natalie is achieving some great things with members in terms of Stretch and Strength and Balance circuits.

In May, we raised $7,500 through our inaugural 'Share the Dignity' afternoon tea. A very special thank you to all who supported us and to our wonderful member Judy Smith and Sarah

Nelson who helped create a great event.

This year we witnessed so many members reach wonderful milestones in terms of weight loss, workouts and Curves smart  results; as well as members who participated in our challenges. We thrive on seeing you thrive and we hope to walk this journey with you again in 2017.

As some of you are aware, we also introduced an exciting new tool called BioAge. This health assessment helps us evalutae where you sit in comparison with your biological age. Some members were surprised to learn they were in fact a lot younger than what their birthday cards would suggest! If you're interested about finding out more or having the test, be sure to ask one of our team members.

In further news...

- Breast Cancer month saw us raise much needed funds for women experiencing breast cancer.

- Our wonderful "Big Sarah" completed her Cert 4 in Fitness Yay Sar!!!!!

- We're so excited to also welcome to our team Laticia who is our Marketing Consultant. Laticia is already working hard on goals etc for 2017.

- In recent weeks we've formed a partnership with the Tara Costigan Foundation. We're looking forward to working with the Foundation to educate people to say NO to family and violence against women.

- We would like to thank everybody who contributed to the recent "It's in the bag" collection. We collected a whopping 78 bags.

WOW! We certainly pack a lot of activity into a yearladies! 2017, is already shaping up to be a busy and exciting one. Curves Queanbeyan has entered a team in "battle of the codes" touch football as well as Miss Muddy - all benefiting our beloved Tara Costigan Foundation. So be sure to join in the fun, which also benefits an amazing cause.

Also, be sure to keep an eye out for some of new and exciting workshops in the new year including one on vision boards.

On behalf of Paul and myself,  I wish you every Christmas blessing and health and happiness in the new year.

All my love
