We understand how busy life can be and finding time to exercise can be tough. But with Curves, 30 minutes is all you need!

 

The Curves circuit is an efficient full body workout - you can join the circuit at any time, from any station and start working out when it suits you (within standard opening hours).

 

Curves Queanbeyan has many exciting social experiences for our members. At Curves Queanbeyan, we believe we are more than just a gym, we are a women’s support network. We pride ourselves on having approachable members of staff, creating a friendly, warm environment and empowering each other to achieve our goals!

 

The circuit is made up of hydraulic resistance machines, which are designed to create resistance that increases with effort. As you get stronger, you can push harder and the machines will respond with more resistance making them perfect for women of any fitness level to continually achieve results.

 

Body Basic Circuits are designed to add variety to the traditional Curves circuit. Workouts include simple movements with multiple levels of difficulty so that every member can enjoy and benefit.

·         Balance: Improve your balance, stability and core strength

 

·         Arms, Legs and Core: Focused sessions that strengthen your major muscle groups

Congratulations to Melita on some awesome results. Melita joined Curves Queanbeyan in January 2015, these are her amazing results and testimonial.

To date: Melita has lost an impressive- 17.07kg, 9.13% body fat, 6.80 BMI and 86.5cm. Great work Mleita. Lara & girls.

After seeing photos of myself at a wedding last year I was forced to take a good hard look at myself and acknowledge that I needed to make some changes. I started with food, changing what I was eating and how much, but I knew that that alone would not help me to reach my goal of a healthy weight. I joined Curves Queanbeyan not quite knowing what to expect – I had been to gyms in the past and found that while I enjoyed the group atmosphere of classes, they could be intimidating and fixed times made it difficult to fit them into my schedule. What I discovered was an environment that suited my lifestyle, fit into my schedule (rather than the other way around) and has been warm and welcoming. Everyone at Curves has been incredibly supportive and encouraging of my progress. I still have a ways to go but am confident that with their assistance I will reach my goal.

 I joined curves in March 2014. Not long after this I went back home to Ireland for 10 weeks had an absolute amazing time which involved a lot of drinking and eating!!!!
So when I returned in August, I knew that I put on weight but didn't realise how much. The first thing I did was to get weighed and measured so I couldn't deny it any longer, which was probably the best thing I did. Getting weighed and measured every month keeps me motivated and it's always a new starting point if I have a bad month.
Ruth is there most of the time when I workout and she has been a real inspiration for me. She pushes me along on workouts when I think I can't do any more and of course the boxing classes are something different which I really enjoy and gets the heart rate up!
I feel a lot healthier and fitter these days and although it hasn't been easy it is so worth it. Thanks to Lara, Ruth and all the curves team.

 

Woman's Health Week

With spring fast approaching it's time to start preparing for womans health week, focusing on the theme of "am i normal" this year we're all about informing womans about mental and physical health and encouraging each other to ask questions and not settling for what everyone belives and going out there and pushing the boundaries of womans health.

Womans Health week Boot Camp and breakfast

In partnership with womans health week this year Curves Queanbeyan will be hosting a Boot Camp and Healthy Breakfast in queanbeyan park, so bring your girlfriends and come join the curves girls for a high intensity workout with a delicious healthy breakfast afterwards.
